Services offered at SHG Federations
The functions of federation are articulated directly the services of the federation. The federation services are classified into:

o Cattle management
o Supply of inputs – Eg: Agri

o Social Discrimination

Services offered at various levels:
SHG level
- Savings & Credit services
- Actively participate in development activities especially which are micro in size to meet the needs of its members
Village Organization level
- Capacity building of SHGs
- M&E of SHGs including SHG grading
- Audit of SHG accounts
- Prepares household investment plans to identify the services required
- Access bulk loans from Banks and Development projects (VELUGU/APRLP etc) for onward lending to its members
- Establish linkages with line departments and NGOs for services
- Financial services including savings and credit services and social risk management services to its members.
Mandal Samakhya level
MS at the Mandal level complement the efforts of VOs in a way
- Do not duplicate & interfere with the role of VO
- Financial as well as social intermediary
- MS takes up the responsibility for advocacy and capacity building of VOs
- Facilitates linkages with FIs & Marketing agencies
The other activities of MS may include:
- Work on various Social issues which are context specific
- Provide Social risk management services
- Take up advocacy on macro issues of development at mandal/district level
- Monitor the performance of member VOs and grading of VOs
- Manage the Human resources hired
- Networking and promotion of VOs
- Market linkages and Business development services for livelihood promotion
