TIRUNELVELI All problems being faced by the women self-help groups particularly hurdles if any in getting assistance should be sorted out at the earliest Managing Director Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women T Udhayachandran has said Chairing a review meeting held at the Collectorate here on Thursday with the project officers of Mahalir Thittam G Muthu Meenaal (Tirunelveli) Sundararajan (Kanyakumari) and Wahidha Bhanu (Tuticorin) and Assistant Coordinator Mahalir Thittam Ganesh Kanna he said better coordination between the district administration bankers SHGs and the NGOs guiding the groups would weed out problems and their improve their functioning While officials should prevent the dropouts from the training programems being conducted for the SHGs the stipend being given for the trainees should be disbursed then and there If we ensure cent per cent attendance of the trainees from the first day to the valedictory session there is every possibility of converting them into successful entrepreneurs Hence we should train many SHGs in this field Mr Udhayachandran said
Creation of new women SHGs activities of the women SHGs etc were discussed
